Services Performed: Completion of Certification Training Course
Brief Explanation

What's This Certificate For?

We recently completed a certification course for Mitsubishi Electric regarding their new state-of-the-art HVAC units.

Mini-split systems are a great choice for room additions or homes that require only a small space conditioning system.

Mini-splits have no ductwork and are more energy-efficient than window-mounted AC units.

Multiple indoor units can be installed in the home for one single outdoor unit allowing different temperature settings for each room.

Our technicians are certified for the installation, startup, and service of Mitsubishi Mr. Slim mini-split M & P series systems.

We're one of only a handful of services that are truly Certified in Mitsubishi HVAC Services in El Monte, CA.

How'd We Go Above And Beyond For This Customer?

This customer had two central air conditioning units for his home - one for each floor (downstairs and upstairs).

Purchasing two central air conditioning units for a house instead of one large unit can be expensive up front but the energy savings will often help offset the initial costs.

Depending on the age and design of one's house, the upstairs is sometimes hotter than the rest of the house when a single unit is installed.

A regular non-zoned central air conditioning unit keeps all areas of a house cold even for areas that are not in use.

As a result, the home is using more energy by overheating or overcooling areas that are not in use. Separate central air conditioning units can add up in energy savings as well.

Another option would be to install a zoned system. This type of system can allow areas of the home to have different temperature settings by using dampers in the ductwork that open and close to regulate and redirect air to specific areas in the home.

A zoned system costs more to install than a regular unit. You would have to find a contractor who knows how to set up the zones properly as there are all sorts of balancing issues to contend with.

For this recent project, we replaced one of this customer's units and ductwork with a Trane 14 SEER XR14 condenser and XB80 furnace.

Furthermore, one way in which we went above and beyond for this customer is in how we'll also be providing him with Free Maintenance Service for 2 Years to make sure his units are running well for as long as possible.

We take into consideration the amount of money one spends to install a new HVAC unit. Call us today to see how we can install a new system for you that will keep your home comfortable and won't hike up your utility bill.

We provide the best Split System Change Outs in Cerritos, CA.

Why Are Floor Furnaces So Exceptional For Home Heating?

Floor furnaces are a natural gas type furnace that sends heated air through vents that are located in the floor.

These type of units do an amazing job of heating homes because they spread heat evenly and consistently.

And since heat naturally rises, having a floor furnace means having much less amounts of heat loss such as escape through your roof or other similar locations around the house.

What Sort Of Obstacles Can Come With These Furnaces At Times?

But most floor furnaces are old and are difficult to maintain since they are at floor level.

They tend to get dirty much more easily and can even become a combustion hazard if severely neglected for too long of a period of time.

Thankfully though, most homes have updated to central heating and air these days.

These types of HVAC systems are far more effective, safer, and energy efficient for the average homed.

Most modern furnaces burn far less fuel than they used to, which leads directly to you saving more money on your heating bills.

Upgrading to more efficient HVAC equipment will even pay for itself meaning you can get back on your investment in the future years.

We replaced this customer's old, worn out floor furnace with a Trane central heating and cooling system.

They are is now prepared and worry-free from all the cold winter and hot summer days in the many years to come.

Call us today to have one of our comfort advisors discuss your system options on a new Heating & Cooling Installation in Whittier, CA.

Location of Job: Murrieta, CA
When: Nov 1, 2018
Service Category: Industrial
Services Performed: HVAC Cooler Installation.
Brief Explanation

What Type Of Cooling HVAC Unit Did We Help Install For This Customer?

We recently installed a swamp cooler for a customer in the Murrieta, CA area.

In case you're unaware, swamp coolers use extensive amounts of moisture to help cool the air which it's moving.

For example, when you're hot and sweaty and have a fan blow on you, it cools your skin. Swamp coolers basically operate in this exact same way.

Water is brought into the swamp cooler, fills up at the bottom, and is then distributed onto evaporative pads via water pouring lines.

A blower within the unit helps to pull warm outside air into the unit from which it then proceeds to cool the air through the evaporative pads.

This cool, cold air is then force pumped through the ductwork and into the building.

Interestingly, even enormous swamp coolers, such as the one which we installed, tend to have lower operating costs than more traditional air conditioning systems as a result of them requiring less electricity.

Furthermore, they're healthier on the environment too since they help to bring in fresh outdoor air many times during the hours of the day .

Give Us A Call Today to see if we're able to service your area, which we more than likely can.

Regardless of how large or small of a unit you may need, we're the best choice around when it comes to professional HVAC Cooler Installations in Murrieta, CA.

Location of Job: Whittier, California
When: Apr 6, 2018
Service Category: Residential
Services Performed: Gas Heating Repair & Red Tag Removal
Brief Explanation

What Do We Do For This Job?

We performed a repair on a gas heating furnace that had been shut down via red tagging.

What’s Red Tagging?

Whenever a local gas company finds a potentially dangerous situation with a gas furnace or any other potentially hazardous appliance, they will issue a red tag. The gas company will then, as per procedure and federal safety requirements, shut down the unit.

This procedure is commonly known as Red Tagging. It can be done to furnaces, water heaters, electrical panels, and so on. In order to get the unit back up and running safely, a licensed company must perform the necessary repairs correctly.

In this specific customer’s case, they chose us to take charge of repairing their red-tagged gas heating furnace.

Once all of the necessary repairs and replacements for the gas furnace were taken care of, the gas company came back to check out our work, and everything was as fit as a fiddle.

Their gas heating furnace had been successfully repaired and was back on in no time.

Services Performed: Installed 3 ton Trane XL14 14SEER 80% Gas/Electric Package Unit
Brief Explanation

When this client called for a Central AC Unit in Whittier CA to be installed, we had just the right solution for them.

Custom Plans

Take a look at this Condenser Replacement job that we recently did in town.

A local customer called us to give them a quote on replacing a rooftop package unit for one of the buildings at the city corporate yard. The building holds vehicles that service the city. This is where they receive maintenance and repairs.

Our comfort specialist went out to look at the property on the same day that they called. He determined what unit would be correctly sized for the building by measuring square footage and conducting a load calculation.

The Right System

Choosing the right system is important and will prevent high utility bills, additional maintenance and premature equipment failure. The client mentioned that one of the attractive qualities about our proposal was the fact that we also offered to take air flow measurements and combustion testing after the installation.

Furthermore we would take care of all documentation required by the city for the project.

Upon completion of the installation, the clients were very happy. As is standard protocol with our services, we offered free maintenance service to ensure that the system will operate efficiently and withstand its 15-20 year life expectancy. Call CWP Heating & Air today to help you with your next commercial project.

Location of Job: Santa Fe Springs, CA
When: Aug 10, 2017
Service Category: Commercial
Services Performed: Replaced outdoor fan motor and capacitor
Brief Explanation

CWP HVAC specializes in HVAC repair of all sorts. We are not just a reseller of air conditioners and furnaces. We of course serve residential customers, repairing HVAC systems like air conditioners and furnaces and split systems (or central air systems). But we also provide commercial air conditioning and heating & ventilation services, too!

In fact, we service a lot of HVAC issues in a lot of areas throughout Southern California. Of course, we also do sell air conditioning units and furnaces. Just remember, like this business below, you should call us when you need a repair on your HVAC system.

Commercial AC Repair

A local business’ air conditioning stopped when they needed it the most. They called us the day it broke, and we were able to come out and analyze their system on the same day. We had their unit back up and running in no time.

What went wrong?

The condenser fan motor pulls out air from a unit. It will blow the heat away from the condenser through its fins and cools down the freon that flows inside. A motor will usually stop working if the bearings seize or they draw the wrong amperage.

This condenser fan motor had both bad bearings and, because of that, it was drawing way too much amperage. This is bad on two fronts: it is bad for the machine, of course, but it also costs a lot of money when you are using that much electricity and getting nothing in return!

How To Keep This From Happening Again

Our commercial customers are especially keen on our maintenance contracts, though we offer them for residential customers, too. We let them know that a maintenance contract would make it so we will first of all inspect the AC system semi annually to keep most problems away by keeping the system in good repair.

Sometimes things happen, though. Now, if they ever have an issue with their commercial air conditioning unit we will go out to Santa Fe Springs and troubleshoot their units free of additional charge!

A Faulty Furnace Can Be Dangerous!

Don't Take Chances When It Comes To Safety.

Our Safety Checks Are THE Best.

Contrary to popular belief, not all Carbon Monoxide detectors are the same. Some HVAC businesses only use detectors that alert at 70 ppm (parts per million) after 1-4 hours and display at 30ppm and protect mainly healthy adults from the harmful effects of CO.

We, however, use low-level CO monitors that alert at 15ppm after 5 minutes and display at 5ppm.

At these set alert levels, everyone is protected. Infants, children, teenagers, adults, seniors, and the poor in health.

Carbon Monoxide Poisoning is a serious health hazard that leads to the early demise of over 200+ people in the US every year. Our testings help to ensure that you and your loved ones don’t become a statistic.

F.A.Q

1. Should a Combustion Analysis be Done After a Furnace Repair?

Answer:

Yes, it should indeed.

Once a furnace has recently been repaired, testing for any potential Carbon Monoxide leakage and overall system performance is a standard practice that, ideally, should always be conducted after a repair.

2. What Goes Into A Combustion Analysis?

Answer:

Combustion analysis is performed and used to access:

* A furnace's fuel efficiency and how to increase it.

* Examine and test the equipment to ensure it's safe.

* Refer back to the system's manufacturer guidelines in case anything is out of place.

* And mainly, to determine what amounts, if any, of undesired emissions are being produced.

Carbon monoxide is a hazardous, poisonous gas that's odorless, extremely flammable, and if breathed in for long periods of time, will lead to flu-like symptoms and potentially even death!

3. Can we check for Carbon Monoxide if your furnace isn’t working?

Answer:

No, we cannot actually.

A furnace needs to be fully operational in order to conduct an effective Carbon Monoxide check and test.

While a quick visual inspection can be conducted based on the heat exchanger and firebox, this visual check is not effective for discovering or knowing if there are cracks present in hard to see areas on the unit.

4. When Should You Get A Carbon Monoxide Test?

Answer:

These tests should be done:

- Once a new furnace has finished being installed.

- When a furnace has just been repaired.

- And if a low-level Carbon Monoxide detector alerts you to the presence of the dangerous gas.

5. How Are We The Best At What We Do?

Answer:

Here at CWP, ALL of our HVAC technicians are Certified by the National Comfort Institue (the standard for all reputable HVAC contractors and technicians.)

Additionally, we pride ourselves on being:

1 - CO & Combustion Analysis Certified

2 - Commercial & Residential Balancer Certified

4 - Economizer Certified
